On May 16, Telegram launched a memecoin called Notcoin (NOT, Not Yet Rated).
Spoiler alert: It is, in fact, a coin.
Some of you may remember that my colleague Marija Matić dove into NOT and the chain it’s built on, Toncoin (TON, “B-”) back then.
She wanted to make sure that every Telegram user knew they had the opportunity to grab this coin for free if they played an in-app game.
That’s because the Toncoin network was launched by Telegram. And, as I’m sure you’ll agree, a free memecoin is a great way to attract interest.
Telegram even made it easy to claim NOT coins. All a user had to do was click a few buttons every day in a process called the tap-2-earn.
Now, because users could get it for free, you’d think NOT would dump to oblivion once it started trading on exchanges.
But this was simply “not” the case (pun intended). Just look at its price chart:

Today, NOT sits at a $1.6 billion market cap. It has gone up 4x from its all-time lows and looks to continue its upward trend.
Not bad for a freely distributed coin where all you had to do was tap the app a few times each day!
Target Another Free Coin
Now, you may have missed the boat on NOT, but that’s why keeping up with the crypto news pays off. Because Telegram is planning to launch another tap-2-earn coin.
Like with NOT, Telegram users can mine the coin by playing an in-app game.
If you have a Telegram account, you can go to this link to join an announcement group for the game Hamster Kombat, where you can find a link to the game.
It should look something like this:

Click the PLAY button as shown in the red box above. Once you click on that, the Hamster Kombat app will launch, and you should see a screen like this:

This is your Hamster Kombat dashboard.
The aim of the game is to get as many points as possible. Just tap on your hamster avatar to start earning points.
Simple, right?
The big number in the middle — marked by the yellow 1 above — shows your current point balance. Above that, marked by the yellow 2, is your hourly profit.
The more points you have, the more likely you’ll get a larger piece of the pie when the Hamster Kombat tokens are airdropped later this month.
If these coins perform as well as NOT did, players who receive this airdrop will be in for a lucrative ride.
And the best part is, this is a free game you can have fun playing in the meantime.
If you don’t have Telegram, you can download it from the Android or Apple stores in order to play Hamster Kombat.
And if you’re gunning for that airdrop, you may also want to download the Toncoin-specific self-custody wallet, Tonkeeper. You can also download that from the app store to hold all your Toncoin-based cryptos for yourself.
While you can keep your Toncoin-based coins on your Telegram app, we always recommend storing your crypto yourself. That way, no one can access them but you.
Happy gaming!

P.S. You may know that before AI’s boom over the past few years, Nvidia (NVDA) was best known for its gaming graphics cards. It became a $3 trillion company by pivoting to AI. Now, it recently announced it is planning another pivot. And the companies that are lined up to help it this time are positioned for mega-sized potential gains. Click here for the full story.
